To enhance sensitivity, Fisher engineers have optimized the TW6 by replacing unnecessary metallic parts with durable ABS molded plastic and upgrading coil windings and electronics. This boosts the tracing distance significantly. True to the Fisher tradition, the TW6 is affordable, rugged, user-friendly, and delivers top-notch performance. It comes with a standard two-year limited warranty. Key features include crystal-controlled frequency in both transmitter and receiver for increased tracing distance. Unlike other units with separate transmitter and receiver, the TW6, when mounted on the handle, can conduct "blind" searches even when the starting point is unknown. It also boasts VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) for a broader range of audio signals, noise-canceling circuitry to eliminate power line interference, and operates on 16 standard AA batteries (eight in transmitter, eight in receiver) for convenient power.
